In light of recent events, this video serves as a wonderful reminder that there are good people in the world. Meet Irmela Mensah-Schramm, a German woman being hailed as “The Hate Destroyer” because of her hobby: wandering around Berlin and demolishing hate-filled propaganda. Swastikas, pro-Nazi stickers, anti-Semitic graffiti — nothing is safe from her mission to rid her city of hatred and malice.

Now, the video is in German, but there are English subtitles; and, really, you don’t need to speak German to find supreme satisfaction in watching someone scrape Nazi propaganda off of public walls. Turns out, Irmela Mensah-Schramm is the hero Berlin deserves…a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.
