Youtubers Claire (ReadingBukowski) and Lesley (WordsofaReader) have come together to host a Little Women Read-Along this December (which has officially arrived)! They will be going through both Little Women and Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott, and they are asking everyone else to join them.

Rather than having set dates to have sections read by, they are simply asking that you join the online discussion while you read at your own pace. By using the hashtag #littlewomenreadalong across any social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube), you can instantly be connected with those who are also going through the books. Claire has also made a Goodreads group that anyone is free to join to have a set forum for discussion. We’re talking, essentially, virtual book club!

Whether you’ve already read it or not, this is a story from which so much can be gleaned, and the discussions are sure to be varied, opinionated, and really interesting. So, go pick up a copy or get one from your library or get the e-book. Whatever works! (Having just looked it up, I can tell you that you can get the entire Little Women series on Kindle for a buck. I’ll go ahead a say it: WORTH IT!)

I’ll definitely be reading along, and I hope to see some of your comments there as well! Happy reading!

Check out what the moderators themselves have to say:
Other than playing with her over-active pup, Social Media Director Shelby Padgett has a number of passions including music, writing, and writing about music. She has completed her Bachelor's degree in the former and hopes to continue highlighting underrepresented girls who shred. She reads as much as she can, and especially loves the writings of C.S. Lewis, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and anyone else who can make art with words. She enjoys playing her ukulele, posting gratuitous pictures of her dog, collecting mugs, and green bean casserole.
