me by Rachel Waring

I’m not here to be your I’m sorry
I’m not a quick fix or a project
To make you feel better
I am a person
I cannot be solved
I cannot help you
And you could never help me

Rachel Waring recently graduated from Christopher Newport University where she studied Communications, Religious Studies, and Women’s Studies. She writes poetry in the time between working and Harry Potter marathons. She spends too much time talking to herself and thinking in metaphor, but when it ends up in poetry, it’s all okay.
