As all of you American Germs know, today is Memorial Day. For most of us, it means a day of relaxation and barbecues. A day of no school and (for the salaried among us), no work. Despite the grilling and the pool parties, however, it is important to remember that Memorial Day is not simply a day of bacchanalia. Instead, it is a day where we as a nation give reverence to the memory of those who have fallen in service to our country. In its very name; it is a day to remember all the brave women and men who have given their lives to build and protect our nation.
