Rape Poem to End All Rape Poems

The following slam poetry performance is by four young women: Justice Hehir, Lindsey Michelle Williams, Kate Thomas, and Lillie file000730998360Hannon of the Rutger’s University Slam Team. The poem deals with rape and sexual assault, so it’s raw and unrepentant in its subject matter and language. It is, however, one of the most powerful pieces of slam poetry I have ever seen, and it’s something that everyone should see and discuss. There’s really nothing I can say that would add to this incredibly moving and impressive piece other than to say: well done, ladies.
