Well, Germies, we’ve made it into a new year yet again, and we get to talk about one of our collective favorite things: Books!

Last year, we started a new tradition of giving out a reading challenge for the first time to promote reading diversely and maybe just getting you a little bit out of our comfort zone. One of the best things about reading is getting to see the world through someone else’s eyes, and it’s that much better and more interesting when those eyes are vastly different from your own.

With that in mind, take this challenge as you will. There are no hard and fast rules here; each item is up to your own interpretation. You can find a single book for each item or one that can check off multiple. This is your challenge, and you can take it as you wish.

Throughout the year, share the books you’re reading on social media using the hashtag #GERMreads — give recs, get them, and show off how you’re doing in general!
