The Cast of Hamilton Goes Sweeney Todd

By now, I’m sure you’ve all heard of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s magnum opus, Hamilton, but you’ve never seen it quite like this. Darkly re-imagined for 2016’s Broadway Cares’ Easter Bonnet Competition, the cast of Hamilton gives a fantastic and chilling tribute to Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. By transforming their opening number “Alexander Hamilton” into a veritable summary of Sweeney Todd, the cast of Hamilton proves once again that they are some of the best in the business.

Aside from having a last name that is difficult for telemarketers to correctly pronounce, Jordan Gripenwaldt is a degree-wielding Anthropology major and aspiring novelist who has swapped research paper deadlines for article deadlines.
