The Hurt

She’s on the floor crying, sobbing, wishing, doing anything to make the hurt and pain go away. “Come back!” she screams in between sobs. He called her and said he doesn’t love her anymore. She doesn’t understand; how can you just suddenly stop loving someone? And how can you sleep at night knowing that you just broke someone’s heart? The thing that hurts her the most is the fact that he may have never loved her. This could have just been an act to embarrass her. It could have just been a way to mess with her emotions.

Her crying begins to get louder; the room starts to get darker, as do her thoughts. “He never loved you. It was all a joke. You told him everything about you and now he knows your deepest secrets. This was never true love. No one will ever love you,” her dark thoughts say. That’s when it all just broke into her. She screams at the top of her lungs.

You know what’s funny is that he broke her heart with 5 words, but she has to try to piece herself back together with 100 words.
