We’re all in a rush most of the time, aren’t we? All jokes aside, keeping with this fast-moving world is not an easy thing to do. At times we are all too caught up to take care of the things we need, like our bags.
I’m here to share with you the things you should keep in your to-go bag at all times. No matter where you’re going, they will always come in handy, and then you will not get into one of those where-the-hell-is-my-mascara or I-need-a-tissue moods.
1. Lip Balm, Lip Gloss, or Lipstick
We all like moisturized lips, don’t we? If you ever forget to apply your MAC’s lipstick in the morning and have already left for work, what will you do? Keep a balm or gloss with you to save the day!
2. Tissues and Wipes
Now, if you are at a wedding and you suddenly break out in tears because your aunt’s daughter’s friend is getting married and you are still single, then you’ll need a tissue to wipe your tears. Keeping tissues on hand can be useful — as can carrying makeup wipes in case you’re also not wearing waterproof makeup that day.
My mantra is: “People ditch. Mascara does not!” In my opinion, mascara is one of the essential items to use to look radiant and to give off I-am-the-boss-here vibes. So, if you ever forget to apply mascara, don’t worry. You still have it in your bag, and you can conquer the world, babe!
Deodorant is one of those things which you should keep in your bag at all times. Because you never know when you’ll encounter an old friend, and would you like to smell like a rotten egg? Probably not, right? So, put some extra deodorant in your cart while shopping, and you are good to go! You can often find travel-sized deodorants that are perfect for carrying.
Sometimes when you’re using public transportation, everyone just won’t stop talking, and you need to spend some time with yourself. What shall you do to get out of this misery? Take out your headphones and listen to Beyoncé, Coldplay, or whoever is your favorite. Earphones are my soul mate, to be honest.
Other than earphones, also keep a charger with you. God forbid your phone battery dies; so, instead of crying, put it on the charger.
6. A Book
We all love books, don’t we? And we all like to live in other worlds and stories. A book will keep you company when you’re alone during breaks at school or during lunch time at the office! A book is the best companion one can have.
7. Chocolates, Snacks, or Gum
When we’re almost late for work and can’t fix ourselves an omelet, chocolate is a great fix. You need to have chocolates in your bag to save yourself from starving to death.
And have some gum on hand, too, to chew when you’re bored.
