Based on the popular book with the same name, The Giver centers on a perfect world with no conflict, racism, or sickness where every member of society has a specific role. After being selected to be the Receiver of Memory, 16-year-old Jonas uncovers the truth behind the world’s past, that his forefathers gave up humanity in order to have the perfect society.
