Based on a true story, it tells the tale about average people — of young boys who went to fight in the Great War in 1914 to protect their country and loved ones. These boys were forced to fight and to kill, but on Christmas, for just one day, they came together to have peace. This temporary truce was formed out of a desire to be equal and to share some love in the midst of all the bitter hatred.

These boys, even there in the very center of pure violence, found peace with one another, and I think that there is a lesson we can all take away from that.
