Q: Do guys honestly prefer the dressed-up girly girl? Or would they ever look twice at the blue-jeaned tomboy?

A: I can tell you this: It really does depend on the guy. Some guys, especially teenagers, do not want a girl who is covered in makeup, yet some guys are more fond of girls with dresses and frills and other girly girl things. Still, my advice is to dress in a way that feels right to you. I know the “be yourself” theme seems so overdone because it is everywhere, but that is the best thing to do. If a guy won’t date you because of how you dress, he is not worth your time. I am not saying that looks don’t matter. Guys won’t want a to date someone who dresses slobbily (hygiene is important!) You obviously need to dress at least in a nice way. I don’t mean that it has to be dresses, though, if that’s not your thing.  Honestly, the best advice I can give is to dress as yourself, not someone else, and don’t just change for one guy.
