When I discovered that Miley Cyrus was teaming up with MAC Cosmetics to bring out a lipstick and a lip gloss, I couldn’t stop thinking about it! No matter what they looked like, I just simply NEEDED both of them! So, obviously, as soon as they were available, I bought them — and I don’t regret it a single bit!

Both products are now staple items in my makeup collection that I reach for almost on a daily basis. What makes it even better is that every cent of the price goes to the MAC AIDS Fund, which supports people who are living with HIV/AIDS worldwide.

 

 

Lipstick

The lipstick is a beautiful hot pink shade; it’s slightly darker than a fuchsia pink with blue undertones (this will make your teeth look pearly white!). This shade will look flattering on a wide range of skin tones, which is a huge plus. The lipstick has an Amplified finish, which means that it’s a creamier version of a matte lipstick. When applying it onto your lips, it feels really smooth and even hydrating. The lipstick is also very full coverage and stays on for a really long time (almost an entire day on me), so I reckon I will get a lot of use out of it. It does leave a pink stain on the lips and is quite difficult to remove. Nonetheless, I think this is a beautiful lipstick for spring and summer.

 

 

 

Lipglass

The Lipglass is a very sheer hot pink shade, with lots of blue and pink shimmer running through it. It leaves a beautiful shine on the lips, and it especially looks amazing when combined with the lipstick. The two complement each other beautifully! The Lipglass has a very thick and sticky consistency and is also really sheer. I do wish it was more opaque instead of sheer, but, nonetheless, I think it is a very nice gloss!
