Long hallways
Too many floors
So many students behind so many doors

Waiting to learn, to be inspired
Even though they’re sleepy
And their eyes are tired
But some had too much coffee and they’re way too wired

Super hard classes
Kids with braces
And kids with glasses

They’re all different
But also the same
Kids special and diverse
All with crazy cool names

From Science
To English
To Spanish
And Spanglish

It’s hard to keep up
And maintain my grades
Hard to stay focused and
Not throw shade
At all of those teachers who give so much homework
And us students don’t even get paid

Taking notes
Skipping class
Eating lunch
Giving sass
I’m so tired
I need a break
I’m really hungry
I have a headache

Messy lockers
Falling books
Smelly shoes
Dirty looks

Schools out now, there’s the bell
“See you later!” Somebody yells
But tomorrow we’ll be back again
Another day with all my friends
