You may view the women featured in this short film as just your average women, but to me they are heroes.

The “selfie” has been around for quite some time now, and I believe that it has done more harm than good. Women all over the world are unable to see how beautiful they really are on the inside and outside because they are constantly comparing themselves to people in magazines. The women from this short film redefined the meaning of a “selfie.” They were able to use it in a positive manner, and they found a new perspective on themselves. Was it an easy task? Of course not, but they gained so much from this experience.

That’s why I want to challenge you, our loyal Germies, to take a picture of yourself with no make-up on. Take a good look at it. Forget that voice in your head that fills you with doubt because you are beautiful on the inside and out.
