If you don’t live there, you may not know this, but Australia is an insane place to live. The temperatures and wildlife are usually out to get you, and “magpie swooping season” is no exception. Yes, you read that correctly. There is a time each year when magpies swoop down and attack people’s heads, and this is something that you just have to deal with when you live in Australia.

Radio personality Amber (of Amber and Billo on StarFM) decided to put two myths to the test on tricking magpies into not swooping and hitting your head. The result had me laughing so hard I almost cried, and then it had me thanking my lucky stars that I’m not inexplicably swooped upon by vengeful wildlife on a daily basis.
