The Sound of Silence by Hersh

I think,
I can hear the silence.
It’s more bitter than anything I’ve ever felt
Maybe I’m imagining things.
Or maybe, I’m not.
Perhaps, the sound of silence
Is more painful than the pain itself
Or maybe, it’s just me.
Maybe.
